Cloth binding with gilt title detailing on spine. Externally, very smart with some bumping to extremities. Hinges very tight. Internally, Volume II is firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, although the pastedowns and free endpapers have some spotting.

Original binding with the spines are decorated with gilt title detailing and gilt stars to indicate volume numbers. Taken from the English Garner which was issued in eight volumes, this edition includes an introduction by Raymond Beazley (1868 – 1955), a British historian. First edition complete in two volumes – ex-library.
