Hard cover in fair condition. No Jacket. Ella Du Cane (illustrator). Was published 1920. Unpaginated but each painting appears on an individual page with the verso entirely blank. Brown hard covers, and colour painting applied to front, the external surface of the spine has been worn, internally inscriptions – “T.EVA Egyptian Collection”.

Twenty exquisite water colours of sights and scenes on the River Nile and its banks make this a delightful and unusual little book. Unusual because no text matter is included , the coloured paintings being simply numbered and given brief captions naming the subject and location in a list at front.
