Please Porridge Hot

Boards and pages in good condition.  The boards are good apart from some small puncture holes on the top right hand side of the boards where my cat has sunk their teeth into the book!!!  Inscription on inside cover of the front endpaper.  But the book is very clean otherwise.

Illustrated with reproductions of recipes and advertisements for kitchen items. Material was gathered from the papers of Elisha M. Pease, Governor of Texas 1853-1857 and his family, in the Austin Public Library collection. The book also contains bits of history such as Governor Pease’s account of the first party given in the newly built Governor’s Mansion.
