'Let the Little Girl try her hand at Cooking, if she wants to do so edited by Flora Klickmann. Knowledge gained in this direction will be of practical worth to her throughout her life no matter what her calling or position....In carrying out the simple recipes in this book, a child will become familiar with many methods employed in preparing everyday meals.'
From a modern perspective this book was focused on preparing little girls for a life in the kitchen and in service of her family. With chapters on "Laying the Table", "Washing up the Dishes" and "When Baby Brother is not Well" it is clearly intended to socialize little girls in the art of housework and family care.
The pages are very clean however the spine of the book is damaged and the cover edges are bumped however for a book that is now 100 years old and is targeted at cooking for children it is remarkable that it is in such good shape. https://hungrytraveller.com.au/3d-flip-book/little-girls-cooking-book/
