One of the enterprises of the publisher Samuel Beeton (1831078) who also issued The Englishwoman’s Domestic Magazine and The Boy’s Own Magazine. He encouraged his wife, Isabella (1836-65) to write Beeton’s Book of Household Management which he first published in parts (1859-61, before its subsequent success as a book.
