Cook’s Tourist Handbook Switzerland.  Cook’s Tourists’ Handbooks were a series of travel guidebooks for tourists published in the 19th-20th centuries by Thomas Cook & Son of London. The firm’s founder, Thomas Cook, produced his first handbook to England the 1840s, later expanding to Europe, Near East, North Africa, and beyond. Compared with other guides such as Murray’s, Cook’s aimed at “a broader and less sophisticated middle-class audience.”

This book was published in 1908 and includes numerous colour maps and plans.  It also has an interesting section on the spiral train tunnels that link Lucerne and Milan.  the book is in very good condition although the end papers appear to have faded – they are made of a different paper stock than the rest of the book.  No foxing or obvious marking. https://hungrytraveller.com.au/3d-flip-book/cooks-tourists-handbook-switzerland/
